The Beginning...

I have spent hours upon hours playing video games with my boyfriend in my apartment. I made him the first (and only) blanket I've ever made, a simple fan and feather blue one. He helped me come up with the idea to make a video game (specifically Nintendo)-themed blanket. Seeing how I couldn't find any charts or patterns that really helped me out, I figured since I'm taking the time to make them (a first for me) and knit them, mostly using Intarsia (another first)... I might as well save someone else the trouble. I have no idea how long this is going to take me or if my motivation is even going to last me through this, but as I come up with charts I will pass them on to you! My first one is the star from Mario. Whenever you see a Thick Black Line, that means something that I intend to outline with yarn or embroidery thread after I complete the square. I am currently planning on stitching them all together and lining the back with fleece. Please feel free to print out any charts listed, but if you wish to share them please provide a link and give me the teensie bit of credit I deserve for slaving over graph paper for hours. :) P.s.: The charts on this blog are 1x1 grids, not the rectangular ones used to plot them out to determine the pattern. So if they seem a bit squishy or distorted on the paper, it is because of that Mario Star - Chart 1

More Charts...

Here's my "Koopa" chart and my "Shroom" chart. For both of these I used grey to symbolize white (two greys were used in the Koopa one). I apologize for the sloppiness of my "detail" lines in the koopa chart, I made both of these for my own use and I hope they don't confuse anyone else. Of course, the shroom can magically be red/yellow, green/white, changed to be the terrifying purple/white poison one, etc. Hope you guys like them :)!!! Please give me feedback if you do or if you have any tips for improving the charts. Thanks!
